Life Ahead Computer Program 3.20
The free Life Ahead Computer Program is believed to provide a most advanced-yet analysis of how diet and exercise can develop up to 15 more years of healthy days to an average US life. Many can enter a usual daily diet in a few minutes. Life Ahead then compiles the calories and 23 key health-important nutrients in 380 most usually eaten foods. The effects of these nutrients on 19 major causes of death and likely well-days of future life are then computed from all or nearly all published research using biochemical engineering technology. The program then teaches a user how to improve future well-days of life from diet by changing foods and their amounts. The program also shows the amounts of up to 15 dietary supplements needed if these are not adequately obtained from foods. Life Ahead computes a health value of exercise called the CFR that identifies risk of heart disease, cancer and other major life factors from convenient entry of all present useful exercise. It then computes the amounts and intensities of different exercises or their combination needed to improve cardio fitness to targets needed for well-days of future health. The program usually shows that adequate fitness can be developed from about 20 minutes per day of exercise. Users can optionally value in their risks the effect on their well-days of other health factors such as cholesterol, blood pressure, stress, smoking, and family disease history
